Lindsay Anderson Archive
Perhaps better known as a filmmaker, Lindsay Anderson also had a long and distinguished theatrical career, directing his first play at The Royal Court Theatre in London in 1957. The collection includes scripts, production material, correspondence, photographs, promotional material and press cuttings relating to 40 plays directed by Anderson.
Macleod Theatre Collection
Joseph Macleod (1903 - 1984) was an actor, playwright, theatre director, poet and newsreader. He wrote a number of books on the theatre, including The new Soviet theatre (1943), Actors cross the Volga (1946) and A Soviet theatre sketch book (1951). The Macleod collection of Scottish theatrical history is based on his personal collection of books and 19th century playbills.
