Reading Lists - Guide to Creating and Editing a Reading List

Creating chapter entries the easy way!

  1. Add the book to your reading list as usual.
  2. Use the ellipsis menu on the right-hand side of the item and select Edit item.
  3. Use the item Type drop-down menu for options to change a book to a chapter (see Edit reading list items for more information).
  4. The record will update and you can add the Chapter titleChapter author (if appropriate), Chapter number and chapter Start page and End page.  
    IMPORTANT
    : Please don't forget to add the start and end pages. This is helpful guidance for your students and required by the library if we need to create a digital copy of a chapter.
  5. Click Save when you have finished adding chapter details.
  6. If it is a print book and you would like a digital copy, click the title in your reading list and select the Request digitization option.
