Reading Lists - Guide to Creating and Editing a Reading List

Send citation from LibrarySearch

  1. Select LibrarySearch from the University Portal Sign in.
  2. Find the item you wish to add to your list and click on it to open the full record.
  3. In the Send to section, click READING LIST.
  4. Choose the List and Section it is to appear in and click ADD TO READING LIST.
  5. Alternatively, choose Collection if you don't see your List in the drop-down menu or you are collecting citations for use in future.
  6. To add items sent to your Collection to a List: open the list, click +Add items, choose Add from favorites, then drag and drop the item to the relevant section.​​​​​​​

Using 'My Favorites' in LibrarySearch

You can gather titles in the My Favorites section of LibrarySearch for all sorts of uses. One of them might be to send to your reading list.

  1. In LibrarySearch, sign in, find relevant citations and click the pin to add them to My Favorites.
  2. To view your Favourites list, click the pin at the top right of the LibrarySearch screen (or click your name/initials and select My Favorites).
  3. Choose the items you wish to send to your reading list, click the 3 dot ellipsis on the top menu and select READING LIST​​​​​​​. Then follow the steps above.
