Using Search the Library within your reading list is the most recommended method to add titles to your list. It is especially useful for adding books and Articles but you can search for other material including Book Chapters (works better for ebook chapters).
- In your reading list, click +Add and select Search the Library.
- Enter the title or keywords for books, articles, DVDs and other material and click the search icon.

- Hover your mouse over the item you wish to add to the list to display the options

- Use the 6-dot drag handle to drop the item in your list or click the + and choose a section to add it to.
Tip: Creating Book Chapters
If you don't find the book chapter you want, add the whole book to your reading list and then:
- Use the ellipsis menu on the right-hand side of the item and select Edit item.
- Use the item Type drop-down menu for options to change a book to a chapter (see Edit reading list items for more information).
- Add the Chapter title, Chapter author (if appropriate), Chapter number and chapter Start page and End page.
IMPORTANT: Don't forget to add the start and end pages. This is helpful for students and required by the library to create a digital copy of a chapter.
- Click Save when you have finished adding chapter details.
- If it is a print book and you would like a digital copy, click the title in your reading list and select the Request digitization option.
See further guidance on editing book chapter details and requests to digitise articles and book chapters.
