LibrarySearch (for books, articles and other resources)

Bulk export records - upto around 5,000 records

• From the results page you can bulk export upto around 5,000 records at one time
• You can choose to export to: Excel, BibTeX and RIS (for EndNote or RefWorks)

First sign-in to your LibrarySearch account:

•              Choose ‘Sign in’ in the top right-hand corner:

Run your search query

On the results page:

•              Select at least one record in the list of records - by clicking in the tick box to the left of the record - this will make the Export option display above the results list:

• Choose the option ‘BULK EXPORT: APPROX 5,000 RESULTS’

• Next, choose the format you want: Excel, BibTex or RIS (use RIS if you wish to import the records to RefWorks or EndNote)
• Enter your email address
• Select Send
• The file of records will be emailed to you, this might take a few minutes to arrive

The total number of records you can export depends on the source of the records.  From a 'Books+' search you can export a maximum of 5,000 records in one go.  From a 'Search Everything' search you can export a maximum of 5,000 'Books+' records plus an additional maximum of 5,000 records from the rest of the other records in the results.  So if your 'Search Everything' result list has 12,000 records but only 2,000 of the records were from the Books+ section then you will only be able to export upto 7,000 records at one time.
