The save to RefWorks bookmarklet tries to save references directly from web pages to RefWorks. This has variable success but is worth a try. Always check the reference and edit as neccessary.
To add the Save to RefWorks bookmarklet to your internet favorites bar:
- Click for Tools
- Click Install Save to RefWorks and follow instructions to save to your favorites toolbar (this may work better in Chrome than IE).
- Save to RefWorks should appear below the web address
Navigate to the Web page (e.g. journal article, report or other document) you wish to reference and click Save to RefWorks.
- RefWorks will try to create a Reference. If successful you will see a window with the details.
- Click the Save to RefWorks button at the bottom of the Window to export it to your RefWorks account. Check the details of the reference carefully and edit as necessary.
