Economics: Working Papers

IDEAS is the largest bibliographic database dedicated to economics and available freely on the Internet. It is based on RePEc data, a collaborative effort whose objective is the free dissemination of research in economics. IDEAS contains working papers, journal articles, books, book chapters and software components – many of which are freely downloadable.

The Social Science Research Network indexes over 150,000 full text articles about accounting, economics, politics, law and other social sciences. It also includes abstracts for almost 200,000 scholarly working papers and forthcoming papers.

You may need to create a SSRN account to download and read some of the articles on the Social Science Research Network. This account is free. However, there are other articles on SSRN that are chargeable, i.e. you need to pay a fee to access the full text. If you would like to read one of these chargeable papers, please check the library catalogue to see if it is available from an alternative source, or ask for advice at the Information Centre.
