If your CIQ password has expired, or if you did not activate it within 24 hours of receiving your activation email, please send an email to: S&P Capital IQ Client Services <support.ciq@spglobal.com> to request that your password be renewed.
Don't forget to check your email and your spam/junk email folders frequently for a reply from Capital IQ. For security reasons, CIQ passwords must be activated within 24 hours.
If you have downloaded the Capital IQ Excel Plugin and it is not showing in your Excel ribbon, try checking the following options:
Excel COM Add-ins
No COM Add-in for Capital IQ
If you have followed the steps above and do not see Capital IQ in the Excel Add-ins:
Excel is already checked in Plug-in Manager
