A description of how to get the most out of Kudos

Helpful resources from Kudos

Increasing the reach and impact of your publication

We live in a world now where there is too much information and so many ways to communicate.  How do you as a researcher ensure that your article gets the attention it deserves?

Kudos is a free platform for researchers to use for you to tell what your research is about.  Once you have finally published a paper you want to make sure that it reaches an audience as you are passionate about your subject.

3 simple steps:

  1. Explain
  2. Share
  3. Measure

Kudos is designed to be a central independent system from which to manage communications for your publications

  • Wherever you publish
  • Whichever “channel’ you use to communicate
  • bringing together the different metrics to be able to understand which actions are driving what result.
It helps you - and your institution and publishers – understand how and where to talk about publications

Over 160,000 researchers, across all disciplines have signed up to use Kudos as well as many publishers.

You do not need to "do" all your publications. Perhaps:

  • A new article you wan to let people know about
  • A book chapter to which you want to draw attention
  • Some research you want to set in a new context
  • Some work you felt was overlooked
  • A publication that relates to a current news story

To find a specific publication you can use the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) associated with your research.

Alternatively if you have an ORCID ID you can import your list of publications from your Manage Account page.  See the ORCID FAQ  and this video on adding your publications to Kudos with ORCID for further help
