Short loan books, are high in demand books and for that you can only borrow them for a very short period of time. If you want to make sure you will have access to a Short Loan book on a specific date and time you can place a booking on it. You can take out 4 Short Loan items at a time.
There are two types of Short Loan books, ones you can borrow for 3 hours (green tape on the back of the book), or 24 hours (red tape on the back of the book). When you borrow a short loan book on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday it will be due back the following Monday at 10am.
Because of the high demand and usage of those books, we do not put books with bookings aside. You can just go and pick up the book from it's place on the shelf. You can place a booking on a book even when it is available.
