Visit University libraries in London

sconul logo

You have access to University libraries all over London as part of SCONUL Access.

Libraires who are part of the scheme will allow you to use their library for studying and for reference but many will also let you borrow books. However each library will have it's own rules on what can be borrowed.

You can apply for a SCONUL Access card by filling in the online application form and selecting the university library you want to visit and filling in the short application form.  Your application will then be approved online by staff in Stirling and you will receive an email confirming that your application is approved.  You should then print this out and take it along to the Library you wish to access along with your student registration card.  If you want to use more than one university library, you can take the same email along to those Libraries to request access there. More info about the application procedure can be found here: SCONUL Access application information

Before setting out to use another University Library it would be wise to check their opening hours and also to search their catalogues for the items you require.

Books and Ebooks

As part of your Stirling INTO course you will receive a copy of the key textbook for every module. These books are yours to keep and do not need to be given back at the end of your module.

Other books can be found by searching the library catalogue. Remember to limit your search to online resources so you only find the electronic books which you can use online.

Most modules will also have an electronic reading list. This list can be found in your Succeed module and will provide you with links to electronic versions of the articles and books that your lecturer expects you to read.
